Obtained from a local, Las Vegas family as a puppy, Dickens has become Annette’s
constant companion. He has been “helping” her out at the veterinary clinic since he was a puppy. One of Dickens
earliest career aspirations was to be a buddy to many of the boarders and recuperating critters at the clinic. While a lofty
goal, it was not enough to keep him occupied.
He started obedience training when he was 4 months old, and when Annette heard
about flyball, decided to give it a try. They went to their first practice and have been running full speed ahead ever since.
Dickens’ best friend and co-worker, Swizzle (a mini-Dacshund) is also
on the flyball team. That works out well for the running partners, as they can talk work when they are playing, and talk play
while at work.
