Tribute to KD - - By Donna Baxter
KD was my first dog that I did any kind of dog stuff with. When I went to pick her out, my sister Gail came with me.
At the time, Gail was very involved with the sport of obedience. She had Cockers and had already earned an OTCH and she was
also doing tracking and several other things - - - including that "racing thing" called flyball. Gail asked me several times
"Are you sure you want an Airedale?" "Of course", I said. "I just love the look of them." Little did I know at the time what
a challenge a terrier could be. Well, Gail got me involved in obedience, where KD and I earned our CD and CDX. We started
flyball, which was not her forte, and we were working on our Utility when we lost her tragically to an accident in our own
yard.
KD is missed by everyone who knew her. I loved her independence. She was always by my side when I needed her,
and because of KD, we have followed the terrier path.
The above is my favorite picture of KD. She is 7 months old
and under a picnic table at the dog park.
KD - we love you and miss you so very much.
